What do the tabs "HD", "SD" and
"SD16:9" mean?
Freevideo distributes video at different screen formats and resolutions.
The "HD" tab contains video shot in Full High Definition at 1920x1080 resolution. It is encoded in progressive format at 25 frames per second using the H264 codec at 10Mb/s.
"SD" is a section reserved for Standard Definition video shot in DV PAL format at 720x576 pixels. We currently distribute this video in DV, MPEG-2 at 6Mb/s, MPEG-4 at 450Kb/s, and FLV at 1Mb/s.
"SD 16:9" tab contains Standard Definition formatted to 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. Videos are encoded in progressive format at 25 frames per second using the H264 codec at 10Mb/s.
